Born in Niteroi, in
the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1966, Sara Leote began piano lessons at
the age of seven. She became a Certified Piano Teacher at the age of seventeen.
Sara attended an undergraduate course of Piano, Harmony, History of Art,
History of Music, Musical Aesthetics at Conservatory Jacyra Muller, in Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil. Also she attended an Extension course of Proficiency in Ballet Accompanist at The
National Conservatory Dance School, in Lisbon, Portugal.
Sara has more than
20 years of international experience as Ballet Accompanist and Piano Teacher,
living, studying and working in Brazil, Portugal and the United States. Sara is a Portuguese native speaker, and is fluent in English, and has an intermediate level in Spanish.
Sara collaborated
with George Garcia, Ana Caldas, Carlos Caldas, Guilherme Dias, Jose Luis
Vieira, Ana Vian, Ulrike Caldas, Philip Batley, from The National Conservatory
Dance School, and Luisa Taveira, First Ballerina from the National Theater and
Director from the National Dance Company, in Lisbon, Portugal; Cristiana
Menezes, from the Escola de Danca do Palacio das Artes, and Bettina Bellomo,
Maitre de Ballet, from the Grupo Corpo, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
